Is there any possibility of creating a software program to list all my books with cross references to subject matter and artist? How many times have you gone looking for a pattern you know you have but can't remember which book out of the "hundreds" you own? That would be a tremendous help!"

Painter's Library is an "industrial strength relational database" which means. increased functionality with many program features. Keyword Search is one such feature. It allows you to search on any single word in the title field. For instance, if you like to paint kittens and the title of the project is "American Housepets" If you search on the word Kittens it will not find this project because "Kitten" in not in the title. However, if you type that word after the title, as the subject matter....IE:" American Housepets kittens / gray cat " you can search on any of the single words in the Title field by selecting Keyword search and typing "kittens" or "gray cat".
This means that the user can find ANY word or subject by just adding the word to the title field. The same concept works in the Colors search field. For instance, in addition to listing the projects theme colors in the field, you can add words like Oil or Fabric or Acrylic to indicate the medium used. Now, you can search colors on that word, say "oils" and Painters Library will find ALL the "oil" projects.
So, with this capability, (keyword search) you are unlimited as to the number of sub catagories you can have. You can search on ANY word you type in the database
